No. We recommend getting your tan two days before your wedding or big event so that you have two full showers before your wearing your outfit. If any of the color were to get on the dress from extreme sweating, it will wash out.
Depending on how often you’re sweating, exposed to water, shaving or how often your skin naturally sheds, your spray tan, on average, can last between 5 to 10 days. The key is that you have to exfoliate your skin every couple of days.
The day before your appointment, consider shaving or waxing and minimize having to do it after spray tan application. The day of your spray tan, you should shower and exfoliate. The less dead skin on your body, the longer your spray tan will last and the more even it will be. You should also make sure you shave/wax the day before or of your spray tan. Also, avoid applying any perfumes, deodorant or oil based lotions to the spray tan.
For long-lasting results we suggest that you exfoliate with a non-oil based scrub prior to your appointment. This will remove all dead skin so your tan looks as even as possible. Also, limit the number of times you shave after a spray tan, as it will act as a form of exfoliation.
For first-time tanners, we advise you wait a full eight hours. During your shower you may notice discoloration in the water, but don’t worry! Your tan is still intact! This is just the bronzer rinsing off.
